How much of a difference could personalised strategy make to you reaching your goals?
Finding balance in the chaos!
Navigating life alongside an adult or child with ADHD brings its own set of unique dynamics and challenges. You might find yourself constantly adapting, struggling to be heard, or feeling emotionally drained despite your best efforts to support your loved one. It's common to experience confusion, frustration, or a sense of isolation when traditional approaches don't seem to work.
This page is designed specifically for you, offering insights and support tailored to the realities of living with and loving someone who navigates life with ADHD. We understand that your experience is personal and unique, and your well-being matters.
ADHD-informed life coaching can be a transformative resource for parents and partners, helping you:
Gain a deeper understanding of how the ADHD brain can function differently to yours, shifting from blame or confusion to empathy and effective problem-solving.
Develop tailored communication strategies that foster connection and reduce conflict, allowing you to express your needs and hear theirs more clearly.
Build sustainable support systems for yourself, preventing burnout and ensuring your own emotional and mental health remain a priority.
Co-create ADHD-friendly home environments and routines that reduce daily friction and promote greater harmony for everyone involved.
Navigate complex emotions—both your loved one's and your own—with greater regulation and resilience.
Ultimately, ADHD-informed coaching empowers you to cultivate stronger, more understanding relationships, manage daily life with greater ease, and rediscover joy and balance within your family dynamic. It's about finding your unique path to support and thrive, right alongside the person you love in a way that honours both you and them..

How does ADHD-Informed Life Coaching help Parents & Partners?
Do you sometimes that no matter what you do, you just can't seem to get it right when supporting your loved one with ADHD? Perhaps you're constantly adjusting, feeling misunderstood, or drained when your best efforts don't seem to work. This experience can be incredibly isolating and confusing.
Life coaching offers parents and partners a dedicated space to understand, adapt, and thrive alongside their loved one. This isn't about "fixing" the person with ADHD, it's about empowering you with insights and tools for stronger connections and a more harmonious daily life.
Through coaching, we address common questions and experiences like:
Understanding Their Brain: Gain insights into how ADHD impacts time, emotions, and communication, fostering empathy.
Effective Communication: Discover strategies for clear dialogue, compassionate boundaries, and collaboration without nagging.
Preventing Burnout: Identify your own needs, build resilience, and create sustainable support systems.
Harmonious Home Life: Learn practical, ADHD-friendly approaches to routines and responsibilities that reduce friction.
Navigating Emotions: Develop tools for managing intense emotional moments, both your loved one's and your own.
In essence, ADHD-informed life coaching provides validation for your experience, equips you with tailored strategies, and fosters a deeper, more effective partnership. It's about transforming daily struggles into opportunities for connection, understanding, and shared growth.
What happens at the consultation?
In our consultation, we'll work together to:
1. Give you an opportunity to teach me more about the issue and how it affects you to give me insight into what your struggles are.
2. Make a plan that works for you. The plan needs to be meaningful and do-able to reach your goal, availability, beliefs and budget.
3. If appropriate book a date to get started with your unique life coaching plan to assist you to meet your goals.
What happens in a session?
Each session is dedicated to the particular step in the overall goal you are working towards. I do not plan a standard session, they are all unique and dedicated to the clients needs.
Having said that I will always cover values in the first session as I believe they are key to understanding yourself and essential for values based choices and motivation. In knowing more about ourselves we have options.
A session begins with an update on the previous session - if applicable and identifying the small goal for the given session.
We then work consistently to develop a new or redesign a previous strategy to optimise success in achieving the bigger goal. With your consent we may use visualisation on occasions where it is appropriate so you can pretest the strategy.
We recap and ensure you are feeling positive about putting the strategy or action plan into play between now and when I see you next.
I'm a believer in the saying "The way to eat an elephant is one bite at a time!"
How much does it cost?
Sessions are an hour each.
I also offer two hour sessions for people who feel they need more time.
The cost of a session is:
$75 one hour session
$150 two hour session
Do I join online or in person?
I offer both online, and in-person sessions.
Clients choose the option that best suits your needs and preferences.
Online sessions are conducted via secure video conferencing software and offer the convenience of meeting from anywhere with an internet connection.
In-person sessions take place at my office in Hamilton.
I really enjoy working with people online. For some people it seems to give them enough distance and privacy to really invest in the time we have together.
It is not always possible for people to work with me in person so online is a great way of moving past the challenge of physical location.
